Following the success of the events in Tursunzoda, Gissar, Bokhtar and Shahrituz districts, the Enhanced Competitiveness of Tajik Agribusiness Programme (ECTAP) is organising three additional open house events together with the Government of Sughd, Tekhnikai Kishovarzi, Safo, Agrotechservice, Cooperative Sarob, Madadi Tursunzoda, Neksigol, Novselmash, Agralis, MDO Arvand and Bank Eskhata.
One of the objectives of the ECTAP project is to set up a private public partnership system for quality control and certification of food products in line with international standards for foodstuffs that are reflected in the fifth section of the project. In this connection, the ECTAP project is funded by the European Union to provide laboratory equipment for several laboratories of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Tajikstandard Agency to assist in the analysis of antibiotics, pesticides, microtechnic and heavy metals.
From July 31 to August 4, 2017, within the framework of the Project ECTAP, a seminar FSSC 22000 - certification of the food safety system was organized in the sanatorium of Zumrad in the city of Isfara. Workshop covered the subject on ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management Systems - requirements for any organization in the food chain.
Supporting the development of women’s entrepreneurship and of agribusiness
The EBRD is supporting the development of women’s entrepreneurship and of agribusiness in Tajikistanwith a senior loan in local currency, equivalent to US$ 2 million, to IMON INTERNATIONAL, the largest microfinance institution in the country.
From May 1 to May 5, 2017, within the framework of the Project ECTAP, a seminar FSSC 22000 - certification of the food safety system was organized in the sanatorium of Zumrad in the city of Isfara. Workshop covered the subject on ISO 22002:1-2009 Manufacturing.
On May 2, 2017 ECTAP and MDO Arvand organized an open house at CJSC Agrotechservice. The event was also attended by official representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, including the first deputy chairman of Hisar district Mr. Ismatullozoda
On 18th and 20th of April ECTAP experts have met with Sarob agronomists in Kurgantube and Dushanbe. 28 agronomist of the noncommercial cooperative Sarob have learned about the ECTAP project, its objectives and the activities implemented.
